A body moves from one corner of an equilateral triangle of side 10 cm to the same corner along the sides. Then the distance and displacement are respectively ?

"Solution:

Distance: Sum of distance travelled in a particular time.

Displacement: The process of moving some object from its initial position to final position is known as displacement. It can be found  by subtracting  final position from initial position.

Distance,

       S     = 3 sides \times 10 cm(each side length)

               = 30 cm.

Displacement,

              = Final position – Initial position

              = 0 cm

Hence, the distance is 30 cm. And the displacement is 0 cm. "
