Given - Radius of circular path =20cm

____________

To Find - The Distance and displacement when the body completes two and half revolution .

Answer- 1) Distance of the body when it completes two and half revolution is given by the circumference (C) of the circular track.

C=2πr +2πr +πr

S= 2×3.14 ×20 + 2×3.14×20 + 3.14×20

S=40 ×3.14 + 40×3.14 + 3.14 ×20

S=125.6 + 125.6 + 62.8

Distance travelled ,S= 314cm

S= 314 ( 1m=100cm)

100

S=3.14m

2) Displacement of the body when it completes two and half revolution is given by the diameter of the circular track.

After completing two and half revolution the body will reach at point B ( please refer to the attachment).

And As we know that displacement is the shortest distance between the initial and final position. so, Displacement between point A and B is :-

Displacement , S=2r

S=2×20 cm

S=40cm

S=40

100

S=0.4m

Hope it helps
