Solution:

There are three possibilities !

Case 1:

  • If the body experiences tangential acceleration along with centripetal acceleration, the net vector addition will give \vec{a}_{1}.

Case 2:

  • If body doesn't have any tangential acceleration, only has centripetal acceleration, then net acceleration vector will be \vec{a}_{2}.

Case 3:

  • If body experiences tangential retardation along with centripetal acceleration, the net vector will \vec{a}_{3}.
