A body moves with a velocity of 10 m/s for 10 s and then with a velocity of 20 m/s in the same direction for 40s.Find its average velocity​

Required Answer:-

Distance travelled in 10s = 10m/s × 10s = 100m

Distance travelled in 40s = 20m/s × 40s = 800m

• Average Velocity = \frac{Total\ Distance}{Total\ Time}

• Average Velocity =\frac{D+D'}{t+t'}

• Average Velocity = \frac{800+100}{40+10}

• Average Velocity = \frac{900}{50}

• Average Velocity = 18m/s
