initial velocity,u = 10m/s

final velocity, v= 20m/s

time taken, t= 40 seconds

average velocity= (v-u)/t

= (20-10)/40

=10/40

= 1/4

= 0.25 m/s

Answer:

18m/sec

distance(displacement) traveled in 10 sec,

displacement=velocity ×time

displacement=10×10=100m

distance(displacement) traveled in next 40 sec,

displacement =20×40=800m

AVERAGE VELOCITY=TOTAL DISPLACEMENT/TOTAL TIME

AVG. VELOCITY=900/50 (since800+100=900m)

=18m/s. (total time=50sec)
