v = 0 m/s (Final velocity is zero because object has come to rest).
Therefore,
a = v-u / t
a = 0-10 / 2
a = -10 / 2
a = -5 m/s^2.
So, retardation = -5 m/s^2 .

here the final velocity will be zero coz' the object is at rest.
a=v-u/t
=0-10/2
=-5 m/s2
