Answer:

a=2m/ ; u=2m/s

Explanation:

Case 1

Distance, s=3m

t=1s

a=? ; u=?

Now

s=ut + 1 ×at²

2

3=u(1) + 1 × a(1)²

2

3=u + 1/2 × a

u=3 - 1/2 × a

2u=6-a (i)

Case 2

s= 8m t=2s

a=? u=?

s=ut+ 1 × at²

2

8=2u+1/2 ×4a

8=2u+2a

2u=8-2a (ii)

Subtracting (i) from (ii) , we get

a=2m/

putting a=2m/ in (i) we get

2u=6-2

2u=4

u=2m/s
