Suppose initially the body is moving with a velocity of U.
Final velocity V = U + a t = U m/s + 1.5 m/sec² * 5 sec
V = U + 7.5 m/sec, = 7.5 m/s if U=0.
Distance traveled = U t + 1/2 a t² = 5 U + 1/2 1.5 5²
= 5 U + 18.75 metres = 18.75 m if U=0
Final velocity V = U + a t = U m/s + 1.5 m/sec² * 5 sec
V = U + 7.5 m/sec, = 7.5 m/s if U=0.
Distance traveled = U t + 1/2 a t² = 5 U + 1/2 1.5 5²
= 5 U + 18.75 metres = 18.75 m if U=0
