Answer:

The average velocity of the particle is 5 m/s.

(4) is correct option.

Explanation:

Given Problem:

A body moving with uniform acceleration is having velocity 2 m/s & 8m/s at t=1 & t=4 s respectively. Then the average velocity of the particle in the time interval t=1 s to t= 4 s is

(1) 2 m/s

(2)3 m/s

(3)5/3 m/s

(4)5 m/s

Solution:

To Find:

Average velocity of the particle.

-------------------

Method:

According to your question,

Initial velocity : V_i = 2m/s \: at\: t = 1 sec

Final velocity : v_2 = 8m/s \:at\:t = 4 sec

We have to caculate the average velocity of particle  if the acceleration is uniform.

We know that,

Average velocity :

Average velocity is equal to the sum of the initial and final velocity and divided by two.

Now,

v_a_v_g = \dfrac{v_i+v_f}{2}

Vaules will be after applying formula,

v_a_v_g = \dfrac{2+8}{2}

v_a_v_g = \dfrac{10}{2} = 5 m/s

Hence,

The average velocity of the particle is 5 m/s.
