S1 = ut + 1/2 at square

a =(S - ut) × 2/at square

then,

a = (24 - 4u) × 2/4 square

a = (24 -4u) × 1/8

a = 4(6 - u) /8

= 6 - u /2

S2 =( 8u +1/2 × a64) - ( 4u +1/2 × 1/2 × a16)

after we get

a = 16 - u /6

In both cases,

a are equal , so initial velocity = 1m/s square
