A body of mass 0.4kg is thrown vertically upwards in a velocity of 14m/s. calculate the kinetic energy and potential energy after 1 second?

so putting these values in (1)  we get

KINETIC ENERGY=

    1/2  .   4/10  .14 to the power 2 =39.2 kgm/s  ......(answer)

potential energy =mgh   ....(2)

Given:mass =0.4 kg

           g=10 m/s2

            h=1 sec

putting these values in equation (2) we get

POTENTIAL ENERGY=

      4/10   .    10   .  1  =4 kgm/s to the power 2 ......(answer)
