A body of mass 1 kg falls from a height of 4 m. What is its kinetic energy at a height of 2 m.

Answer:

Total energy of the body = it's PE at the highest point = mgh

= 1×10×4

=40J

Now at a height of 2m

PE = 1×10×2 = 20J

So by the law of conservation of energy.

PE + KE = total energy

KE = 40-20

KE = 20J
