Given

  • Mass of the body = 10 kg
  • Time = 6 sec
  • Potential Energy = 360 J
  • Gravitational Acceleration = 10 m/

To Find

  • Height through which the body is lifted up
  • Power of the body

Solution

Potential Energy is given by, Pe = mgh

● Power is given by, Power = Work/time

Work done is given by, Work = Force × Displacement

Force is given by, Force = ma

Height through which the body is lifted :

→ Pe = mgh

→ 360 = 10 × 10 × h

→ 360 = 100h

→ 360/100 = h

→ Height = 3.6 m

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Power of the body

→ Power = Work/Time

→ Power = (Force × Displacement)/Time

→ Power = ({ma} × Displacement)/Time

→ Power = ({10×10} × 3.6)/6

→ Power = (100×3.6)/6

→ Power = 360/6

Power = 60 W
