First formula of motion:

v= u +at

Given,

  • v = 35 m/s
  • u = 5 m/s
  • t = 5s

35m/s = 5 m/s +5as

30m/s = 5as

30/5 m/s² = a

Therefore a = 6 m/s²

since , f = ma

f is force applied

Therefore f=10 × 6 =60kg m/s² = 60 N
