Given : Body of mass 10 kg

            Velocity of the body = 5 m/s

            Circle of radius 5 m.

To Find : Centripetal acceleration of the body

Solution :

The formula for centripetal force is

    \[\frac{{m{v^2}}}{r}\]

Hence the centripetal acceleration is given by \[\frac{{{v^2}}}{r}\]

Here, v = 5, r= 5.

Hence, on solving we will get the

centripetal acceleration = \[\frac{{{5^2}}}{5}m/{s^2}\]  = 5m/s^2.

Hence, Centripetal acceleration of the body is 5m/s^2.
