Explanation:

We are given that

Mass "m" = 10 kg

Force "F" applied = 8 Newton

    acceleration "a" = ?

as we know that

        F = Mass x acceleration

    i.e. F = ma

putting the values

        8 = 10 x a

        8/10 = a

  a = 0.8 m/s^2

Now,

initial velocity "u" = 0 m/s (because body was at rest)

final velocity "v" = ?

time "t" = 5 sec

as acceleration = v-u/t

then 0.8 = v - 0/ 5

0.8 x 5 = v -0

4 = v - 0

4+0 = v

v = 4 m/s
