Given: weight=98N,g=9.8m/s

2

If ‘m’ is the mass of the body,

m= gW

= 9.898 = 10kg

Mass remains constant

Mass on the moon is the same as the mass on earth =10kg

If weight on the moon is W

1 ,W 1 =mass×g

,

on moon g = 1.6 ms −2

=10×1.6=16N
