A body of mass 100 g is lifted to a height of 10 metres. Find : (a) the amount of work done. (b) potential energy of the body at that height (take g = 10 m/s 2 )

mass = 100 g = 0.1 kg
height = 10 m
acceleration = 10 m/s ²
(a) work done = force * displacement = mgh = 0.1 * 10 * 10 = 10 J

now,

(b) P.E = mgh = 0.1 * 10 * 10 = 10 J
