Given : A body of mass 100 kg is at a distance equal to the radius of earth R, from the surface of the earth. The gravitational force experienced by the earth due to the body is 2 * Y newton,

Radius of Earth, R = 6400 km; Acceleration due to gravity at Earth's surface, g = 10 m/s2)

To Find : Y

Solution:

F  = G Mm/(R+R)²

F =  GMm/(2R)²

F =  GMm/4R²

F =  (m/4)GM/R²

GM/R²  = g

F = (m/4)g

m = 100 kg

g  =  10 m /s²

=> F = (100/4) * 10

=> F = 250N

2 * Y  = 250 N

=> Y = 125

Y = 125
