a body of mass 100 kg is lifted up by 10 m find the amount of work done

Runvika: Time?
Harison1: hello i need its potential energy of the body at that height (g=10m/s2)

the work done will be mgh = 100×10×10=10000 joules.

because work done=-(change in potential energy)

Hi friend,let's understand what is work first...
What is work?
Work is products of force and displacement in physics.
Therefore W =F . S
Here we are given values of mass and height
Now,by using formula
W = F . S
W= 100 * 9.8 * 10.......(as F = mg),where g is gravitational acceleration and m is mass)
W= 9800 joules
Hence work done for given condition is 9800 joules
