- Initial velocity = 36 km/hr = 10 m/s
- Final velocity = 0 km/hr
- Time = 50 s
To Find :
- Average retarding force on the body
Solution :
First we have to find acceleration of body
★ v = u + at
→ 0 = 10 + 50a
→ a = - 10/50
→ a = - 1/5 m/s²
Now retarding force
★ F = ma
→ F = 1000 × ( - 1/5 )
→ F = - 200 N
Note :- Negative sign of acceleration and force denotes that they are in opposite direction of motion.
