100g we need to convert to kg
100g = 0.1 kg
We know that,
Force = mass × acceleration
=> 0.1 = 0.1 × acceleration
=> acceleration = 0.1/0.1
=> acceleration = 1 m/s²
Now, we know the body was at rest
so its initial velocity u will be 0
time given 5 second
and acceleration we have find out as 1
We know that
s (displacement) = ut + 1/2at²
So substituting the value we get,
s = 0 × 5 + 1/2 × 1 × (5)²
=> s = 1/2. × 25
=> s = 25/2
=> s = 12.5 m
So the body covered a distance of 12.5 m
