a body of mass 1kg is kept at rest.a constant force of 6.0 newton starts acting on it.find the time taken by the body to move through a distance of 12m

m = 1 kg

f = 6 N

S = 12 m

u = 0 m/s ( the object is at rest )


f = m * g

6 = 1 * g

g = 6 m/s^2


by Newton's second law ------->

S = ut + 1/2 * gt^2

12 = 0 * t + 1/2 * 6 * t^2

12 = 3 * t^2

12/3 = t^2

4 = t^2

t = 2 second


Therefore the time taken is t = 2s.
