A body of mass 2 kg floats in a liquid. What is the buoyant force acting on the body? I have been given the answer as 19.6 N. Is it correct? Please explain.

Yes the answer is correct .
Because Buoyant force is equal to the product of density  and gravitational force .
           So, from this
                   If the liquid 's mass is 2kg
then,
its density is mass/ volume (assuming volume as 1) then density is 2.
the gravitational force is 9.8
                     so
               2(9.8)=19.6 N
therefore the buoyant force is 19.6 N
