Answer:
we can solve this problem by using either kinemetics or impulse momentum theorem
By kinemetics applying first equation of uniform accelerated motion
v=u+at implies v=0+(1.5)4=6m/s
initial momentum = 0
final momentum = mv = (2)6 = 12 kg m/s
momentum gained = 12 kg m/s
now by impulse momentum theorem
impuse of force = change in momentum
here a=1.5 m/s. m=2 kg. So F=ma=2(1.5)=3 N
here force in constant
so Ft = change in momentum
3(4)=final momentum=12 kg m/s

➲ ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-
- Mass (m) = 2kg
- Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s. (At rest)
- Time (t) = 4 seconds
- Acceleration (a) = 1.5 m/s²
➲ ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-
- Momentum (p)
➲ sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-
On using 1st equation of motion, we get,
➨ v = u + at
➨ v = 0 + 1.5 × 4
➨ v = 6 m/s
Now,
We know that,
➦ Momentum(p) = Mass(m) × Velocity(v)
➦ p = mv
On putting above given values in it, we get,
➨ p = 2 × 6
➨ p = 12 kg. m/s
Hence,
- Momentum (p) is 12 kg. m/s
