Normal force acting on the body
= mg
= 2×10
= 20 N

Static Frictional Force
= coefficient of static Friction × Normal force
= 0.5×20
= 10 N

as applied force is 2.5 N which is less that static frictional force, hence the body will not move and the frictional force acting on it will be = 2.5 N

Normal force acting on the body = 2 x 10 = 20N
Static force = 0.5 x 20 = 10N

The force acting on body is 2.5 N which is less than the frictional force
So force acting on the body = 2.5N
