A body of mass 20 kg moving with velocity 15 metre per second come to rest due to a tradition force of 50 Newton how much time does it take to come to rest.

Retardation (a) = F/m

= 50/20

= 2.5 m/s^2

since it is retardation then acceleration become negative.

therefore

a= -2.5 m/s^2.

Now, use v = u + at0

= 15 + (-2.5)TT

= 15/2.5t

= 6 seconds
