Explanation:

Density of body = Mass/Volume

=200/50

=4 g/cc

Density of water = 1 g/cc

Relative Density (R.D.) = Density of body / Density of water

=4 / 1

=4

Since R.D. >  1

The object will sink.

Notes: If R.D. < 1, object will completely float.

If R.D. = 1, object will float at the surface of the water.

The body will sink.

Given - Mass and volume

Find - If body will sink or float.

Solution - If body will sink or float can be found be calculating relative density.

Density of water = 1 g/cc

Density of body = mass/volume

Density of body = 200/50

Density of body = 4

Relative density = density of body/density of water

Relative density = 4/1

Relative density = 4

Since relative density is greater than 1, hence, the body will sink.
