Answer:

As the density of the substance=Mass/Volume

Density=MASS/VOLUME

MASS=200g

volume=300cm^3

Density=200/300

=0.67g cm^3

As the density of the body is less than the density of the water hence the body float on the water.

Answer:

Hello!

We know that,

Density = mass/volume

\begin{lgathered}density \: of \: the \: body = \frac{200g}{300 {cm}^{3} } \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 0.67g \: \ {m}^{ - 3}\end{lgathered}

densityofthebody=

300cm

3

200g

=0.67g m

−3

As we know, the density of water is:

{10}^{3} kg \: {m}^{ - 3}10

3

kgm

−3

Thus, the body will float because the density of the body is less than that of the water.
