Answer: 3200 J

Explanation: Given: mass (m)= 25g

Momentum (M)= 0.40kgm/s = 400m/s

M= m x velocity

400= 25 x V

V = 16m/s

kinetic energy = 1/2 mv square

                         = 1/2 x 25 x 16 x16

                         = 3200J

Thank you

Given :

Mass = 25 gm

Momentum = 0.40 Kg m/sec

To Find :

Kinetic Energy

Solution :

We know, Kinetic Energy = \frac{1}{2} mv^2

where, m = mass and v = velocity

Now, Momentum (P) = mv

⇒            0.40             = 25 × 10⁻³ × v

⇒             v                  =  \frac{0.4}{25 * 10^-^3}

∴              v                  =  16 m/sec

Kinetic Energy  = \frac{1}{2} × mv × v

                         = \frac{1}{2} × P × v

                         =  \frac{1}{2} × 0.40 × 16

                         = 3.2 J

Therefore, the Kinetic energy of the body of mass 25 g is found to be 3.2 J.
