A body of mass 2kg floats in a liquid. What is the buoyant force on the body?

Raj18110: So weight = mass of the body × acceleration due to gravitation
Raj18110: Weight= 2kg×9.8m/s^2
Raj18110: Weight=19.6N
Raj18110: Now the water is creating such a buoyant force that it can float the body in its surface.
Raj18110: so it will be obvious that it is cancelling the whole weight
Raj18110: Therefore the buoyant force=19.6N opposite to the direction of gravitational pull
