Answer:

4m.

Explanation:

F = ma

16 = 2a

a = 8m/s²

s= ut + 1/2at²

s = 0 + 1/2 × 8 × (1)²

s = 4m.

Answer :

Mass of body = 2kg

Initial velocity = zero

Applied force = 16

We have to find distance covered by body in one second.

★ First of all we need to find acceleration of body.

As per newton's second law of motion, force is measured as the product of mass and acceleration.

Mathematically, F = m a

  • F denotes force
  • m denotes mass
  • a denotes acceleration

➠ F = m a

➠ 16 = 2a

➠ a = 16/2

a = 8 m/s²

Distance covered by body can be calculated by using second equation of motion.

  • s = ut + 1/2 at²

➠ s = (0)(1) + 1/2 (8)(1)²

➠ s = 8/2

s = 4m

Distance covered by body in the first second of journey = 4m
