A body of mass 2kg is kept at rest. A constant force of 12 N starts acting on it. Find the time taken by the body to move through a distance of 12m.

here, initial veloctiy(u)= 0

Force acting on it(F)=12N

mass of the body(m)=2kg

displacement of the body(s)=12m

time taken by the body(t)=?

we know,

F=ma

a=F/m=6m/s^2

We know,

s= ut + 1/2at^2

12=1/2×6×t² (as u=0)

t=2 (as t can't be negative)
