A body of mass 2kg moving with a speed of 40 m/s and get collied with a stationary block after collision both bodies moves simultaneously with a speed of 25m/s what is the mass of another body

Let the masses of the bodies be

M1 = 2 kg

M2 = x

And let the speeds of the bodies be

V1= 40m/s

V2 = 25 m/s

According to law of conservation of momentum,

M1*V1 = M2*V2

2x = 40*25

x = 500  kg
