Given

  • Mass = 2 kg
  • Surface Area = 100 cm²
  • Gravitational Acceleration = 9.8 m/

To Find

  • Pressure applied and the force applied

Solution

● Pressure = Force/Area

● F = ma

Converting Units :

  • Area = 100 cm² = 100/1000 = 0.1 m²

Force Applied :

→ F = ma

→ F = 2 × 9.8

→ F = 19.6 N

Pressure Applied :

→ Pressure = Force/Area

→ Pressure = 19.6/0.1

→ Pressure = 196 Pa

  • And the Thrust is equal to he force applied which is equal to 19.6 N

Answer:-

 \small \bf \underline{Given:}

Mass of the body = 2kg

Surface area taken by the body = 100cm² \small \bf =  \frac{100}{1000}  = 0.1 {m}^{2}

Velocity = 9.8m/s²

 \small \bf \underline{To  \: find:}

We need to find the thrust and pressure exerted on the table by the body

 \small \bf \underline{Solution:}

»Thrust exerted by the body on the table:-

Thrust exerted by the body on the table = Mass × Velocity

Thrust exerted by the body on the table = 2 × 9.8

Thrust exerted by the body on the table = 19.6

»Pressure exerted by the body on the table:-

 \small \bf \: Pressure \:  exerted \:  by \:  the  \: body  \: on  \: the \:  table = \\ \bf \frac{force}{area}

 \small \bf \ \: Pressure \:  exerted  \: by  \: the  \: body \:  on  \: the  \: table = \\ \bf \frac{19.6}{0.1}

Pressure exerted by the body on the table = 196Pa

Answer:-

  • Thrust exerted by the body on the table = 19.6
  • Pressure exerted by the body on the table = 196Pa
