Momentum before explosion = Momentum after explosion
0 = m1v1 + m2v2
0 = 0.2*12 + 0.1v
v = -2.4/0.1
v = -0.24 m/s
Velocity of other part is 0.24 m/s (= 24 cm/s) towards west.
