a body of mass 300 kg kept at rest break into two for two parts due to internal force one part of mass 200 gram is found to move at a speed of 12 metre per second towards east what will be the velocity on velocity on the other part​

as the 300kg body was at rest, the moment of the 2broken bodies should add up to give zero.

momentum of the first body= 2.4 kg m/s

therefore the momentum of the second body= 297.6kg × velocity = 2.4 kg m/s

velocity of the second body= 0.008 m/s (approx)
