ANSWER:

The tension on wire OA and OB is taken as \mathrm{T}_{1}, \mathrm{T}_{2}=200 \mathrm{N}, 200 \sqrt{3} \mathrm{N}

EXPLANATION:

The mass of the ball hanging from the two strings is 40 kg, the tension on the strings are taken as\mathrm{T}_{1}, \mathrm{T}_{2}

The gravitational force of acceleration is taken as 10 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{sec}^{2}

Now taking the strings OA and OB, therefore, the tension of the strings are

Now using Lami’s Law we get the value of tension holding the ball as

\frac{T_{1}}{\sin 120}=\frac{T_{2}}{\sin 150}=\frac{400}{\sin 90}

T_{1}=\frac{400 \times \sin 120}{\sin 90}=200 \sqrt{3}

T_{2}=\frac{400 \times \sin 150}{\sin 90}=200

Therefore, the tension on wire OA and OB is taken as \mathrm{T}_{1}, \mathrm{T}_{2}=200 \mathrm{N}, 200 \sqrt{3} \mathrm{N}
