Each step is 25 cm and a body climbs up 20 steps so s = 25*20 = 500cm

500 cm = 0.5m

F = mg = 45*10 = 450 N

work done by the body = F * S =   450*0.5 = 225m

Power used = 225/20          [T = 20 sec]

                      = 11.25 W

Answer:

i) The rate of doing work is known as Power

ii) Power used in climbing = 112.5W

Explanation:

Given:

m=45kg

g = 10 m/s

h=20 × 25 = 500cm ⇒5m

t=20s

Solution:

We know that Work = mgh

and Power =Work/Time

⇒ Work = 45 × 10 × 5 = 2250J

⇒Power = 2250J/ 20s ⇒ 112.5W

Hope this Helps!
