Mass of the body m = 5kg
Initial speed u = 0
g = 10 m/s2.
by the formula,

v = √2gh
   
v = √2×9.8×10

v = 14 m/s

Kinetic energy at the earth surface  = ½ mv2
                                                       = ½ x 5 kg x (14 m/s)2
                                                       = 490 J
