Provided that:

  • Mass = 5 kg
  • Initial velocity = 10 m/s
  • Time = 25 seconds
  • Final velocity = 35 m/s

To calculate:

  • The force

Solution:

  • The force = 5 Newton

Using concept:

  • Force formula

Using formula:

  • {\small{\underline{\boxed{\sf{F \: = \dfrac{m \cdot (v-u)}{t}}}}}}

Where, a denotes acceleration, u denotes initial velocity, v denotes final velocity, t denotes time taken, m denotes mass and F denotes force.

Required solution:

:\implies \sf F \: = \dfrac{m \cdot (v-u)}{t} \\ \\ :\implies \sf F \: = \dfrac{5 \cdot (35-10)}{25} \\ \\ :\implies \sf F \: = \dfrac{5 \cdot 25}{25} \\ \\ :\implies \sf F \: = \dfrac{5 \cdot \cancel{25}}{{\cancel{{25}}}} \: (Cancelling) \\ \\ :\implies \sf F \: = 5 \: N \\ \\ :\implies \sf Force \: = 5 \: Newton

Henceforth, the magnitude of force = 5 Newton!

Additional information:

Force: Push and pull on any object is known as force. Force can be also define as the push or pull on an object that have mass that cause the change in velocity of the object.

Effects of force:

1. Force can move a stationary object.

2. Force can stop a moving object.

3. Force can make the change in the size of the object.

4. Force can make the change in the shape of the object.

5. Force can make the change in the speed of the object.

Types of force: There are two types of force that are balanced force and unbalanced force.
