m1 = 5 kg

v1 = 10 m /s

KE(initial) = 1/2 x 5 x 10 x 10 = 250 joules

a)

m = 2m1 = 10 kg

v = v1 = 10 m/s

KE(final)  = 1/2 x 10 x 10 x 10 = 500 joules

Ratio = KE(I) : (KE(f) = 250 : 500 = 1/2

b)

m = m1 = 5 kg

v = 3v1 = 30 m/s

KE(final) = 1/2 x 5 x 30 x 30 = 2250

Ratio = 250 : 2250 = 1 : 9 = 1/9

Nobita678: ohhhh k thanks ...i was mistaken in calculation
Nobita678: A car and a truck have kinetic energies of 8*10^5 J and 9*10^5 respectively.If they brought to halt at the same distance,find the ratio of forces applied to both the vechiles.
Nobita678: answer this question above.
Nobita678: pretty please!
TheEdward: Yes but ask separately please :)
Nobita678: seperately?
TheEdward: Yes I got it ya
Nobita678: hmmm
Nobita678: ??????
