Given :-

Mass of the body = m = 5 Kg

Initial Velocity = u = (2i + 6j) ms-¹

Final Velocity = v = (10i + 6j) ms-¹

V = v - u

V = 10i + 6j - 2î - 6j

V = 8î ms-¹

Now,

∆P = m∆V

∆P = 5(8î)

P = 40î Kg ms-¹.

Hence,

Change in Momentum of body = ∆P = 40î Kgms-¹.
