Given

Mass (M) = 10kg

Co-efficient of friction (K) = 0.5

Horizontal force = 100 N

g = 10m/s2

Solution

Normal reaction = M * g = 10 * 10

Normal reaction = 100N

Friction force (F) = K * 0.5 = 0.5 * 100 = 50N

F = Ma

50 = 10 * a

a = 5 m/s2

a = 5 m/s2 is the direction of force
