potential energy = mgh
where , m is mass of body
h is height of body .

now, potential energy at height = 5m
P_i=mgh_i=5\times10\times5=250J
and potential energy at height = 10m
P_f=mgh_f =5\times10\times10=500J

now, change in potential energy = increases in potential = final potential energy - initial potential energy
= P_f-P_i\\=500J-250J=250J

U=mgh
here m=5kg , g=10m/s, h=10-5=5m
so U=5×10×5=250 watt
