A body of mass 5 kg is taken to the centre of the earth. What will be its mass and weight there? Also

calculate its mass and weight on the moon.​

mass (m)= 5 kg , so that will remain same as the quantity of matter is independent of the planet in which you measure.

On the other hand, weight (w) = m×g

where, 'm' is the mass & 'g' is the acceleration due to gravity.

Therefore, in case of moon

w= m×g = 5 × (9.8/6)

Since g(moon) = g( earth)/6 = 9.8/6

w = (5×9.8)/6 = 49 N/6 = 8.17 N
