A body of mass 5 kg is thrown vertically upwards from the ground with a velocity of 20ms . What will be its momentum just before hitting the ground .assume upward direction as positive .​

Steps:

As we know the distance(height) remains same because the object will follow the same path

Also, acceleration is 9.8 and -9.8 in those cases

Therefore velocity while throwing from ground=Velocity while reaching at that point(from which it was thrown)

⇒20m/s=20m/s

Also mass of the object is constant that is 5kg

We know, Momentum= M*V

⇒Momentum= 5*20

⇒Momentum= 100 kg*m/s
