a body of mass 5 kg moving with a velocity of 6 metre per second collides with another body of mass 2kg which is at the rest after which the move in the same direction as before if the velocity of a body of mass 2 kg standard 10 metre per second find the velocity and kinetic energy of the body of mass 5 kg

By collision theory formulas,

m1v1 + m2v2 = m1u1 + m2u2

[m1 = 5 kg, m2 = 2 kg, u1 = 6 m/s, u2 = 0 m/s, v2 = 10m/s]

By which, v1 = 2 m/s

K.E. = 1/2× m× v^2:

K.E. = 1/2× 5× (2)^2:

K.E. = 10 Joules
