Mass of an object = 500g = 0.5 kg

By the second equation of motion

S=ut+1/2at²

as the body is at the rest u=0, t = 2s

Displacement of an object = 4m

4 =o×2+1/2a(2)²

Therefore a=2m/s²

Now,

F =m×a

F =0.5×2

F =1 N
