QUESTION:

A body of mass 50gram moving with intial velocity 20meter/second.A force of 5N act on the body for 5second.Find the final velocity after 5second.

Answer:

final velocity = 520 m/s

Explanation:

given that,

A body of mass 50gram moving with intial velocity 20meter/second.

here,

mass of body = 50 grams

by changing it into kg

50 grams = 0.05 kg

and,

initial velocity(u) = 20m/s

also given that,

A force of 5N act on the body for 5second .

here,

force(F) = 5 N

time(t) = 5 seconds

initial velocity = 20 m/s

mass of body(M) = 0.05 kg

let final velocity be v

by the Newton's 2nd law of motion

F = Ma

since ,

a = (v - u)/t

so,

F = M(v - u)/t

putting the values of each quantities,

5 = 0.05 (v - 20)/5

by substituting for v

0.05 (v - 20) = 5 × 5

0.05 (v - 20) = 25

v - 20 = 25/0.05

[multiplying numerator and denominator with 100]

we get,

v - 20 = 2500/5

v - 20 = 500

v = 500 + 20

v = 520 m/s

so,

final velocity of the body after applying force = 520 m/s

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE QUESTION:

✔ Force is applied along the motion .

✔ Force increases the velocity of the   body.

 <b > HEre Is Your Ans

****

Ans :- 520 m/s

Explanation

Given :-

➡F = 5 N

➡U = 20 m/s

➡M = 50 Gram = 0.05 Kg

➡T = 5 Sec

To Find :-

➡ V = ?

*****

Sol :-

➡F = M × A

➡A = F / M

➡A = 5 / 0.05 = 500 / 5 = 100 m/s²

➡V = U + A T

➡V = 20 + 100 × 5

➡V = 20 + 500

➡V = 520 m/s

Hence , Final Velocity after 5 second Is 520 m/s
